“The back wall of the main altar – where white paint was stripped to reveal exemplary carved stones scenes, this time the 1860s work of architectural sculptor Henry Lane. This delicate work, and mortar repairs throughout the church, was carried out by masons from Conservation & Restoration Ltd.”
